Man Charged With Murder In Rapper Takeoff’s Death Asks Judge For Money; Here’s Why

HOUSTON- Two men have been arrested and charged in the death of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was killed last month in Houston.

Patrick Clark, 33, was charged with murder, and Cameron Joshua, 22, was charged with felony possession of a weapon.

On Monday, Clark made a court appearance.

On Wednesday, Clark asked the judge for $5,000 in order to hire a private investigator so that he could prove his innocence, according to TMZ.

Clark asked for the money because he claims that his family has spent their funds on an attorney who’s going to represent him for a reduced price, TMZ reports.

The private investigator will help Clark and his attorneys “effectively prepare for trial” and has agreed to work for the family for a $85 an hour, which is the reduced price.

Clark is currently being held on a $2 million bond.

It’s unclear if the judge will allow his request.

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston on November 1.

He died from a gunshot wound to his head and torso.
