CHICAGO – A man has been charged with the murder of his mother after her body was found in a trash bin.
Robert Wallace, 25, was charged on Wednesday with one felony count of first-degree murder.
Chicago police say he stabbed his mother, Betty Wallace who was 67 years old. Her body was found by sanitation workers, as they were picking up trash on their route on Christmas Eve.
Police say she had multiple stab wounds to her legs and suffered blunt trauma injuries to her face.
