ALABAMA- Police have arrested a man, after he confessed to killing his girlfriend on Christmas Eve.
Ace Antonio Pierre Belcher, 32, called police on Thursday to report that he had an argument with his girlfriend, the Gadsden Time reported.
Responding officer’s say that Belcher told them he had found his girlfriend, 50-year-old Traci Melvin Wilemon, lifeless on the floor of their home, but police called investigators to the scene after they found unusual circumstances at the scene.
Police obtained a search warrant on Christmas day, combing through the victims home, before Belcher confessed that he had killed his girlfriend, and attempted to burn her body.
Belcher was arrested on Friday, and has been charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.
