Man Convicted In Killing Of Rapper Young Greatness

NEW ORLEANS- A man has been convicted in the murder of rapper Young Greatness.

Donald Reaux, 28, was found guilty on several charges, including second-degree murder.

According to New Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams, who held a news conference on Friday, Reaux recruited his two cousins (minors) to shoot and kill Young Greatness.

Reaux allegedly ordered the two young boys to kill the rapper, telling them to “hit a lick’, according to Williams.

There are currently serving time in jail, with one behind bars for an unrelated crime.

A grand jury indicted Reaux, Donny Maxwell and a juvenile.

Reaux, 38, was arrested in 2018 in connection to the rapper’s death.

All three were found guilty of second-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice, according to WDSU New Orleans.

Reaux was indicted for possession of a firearm.

Young Greatness, whose real name is Theodore Jones, was shot on Oct. 29, 2018, at a Waffle House. He was found face-down by officers and died at the scene.
