RHODE ISLAND- A woman says a man she met on a dating app drove her into a lake.
Police say the unidentified victim was found crying and drenched in water near a boat launch in Providence early Sunday morning.
The woman told police that her date had become angry with her, saying she was annoying him.
He drove a red Toyota Camry in the Seekonk River, but the woman was able to open her passenger door and swim out of the river.
The man, described as a black male with a beard, wearing a black hoodie and jeans, weighing about 180 pounds was seen on security camera leaving the scene.
The woman said she met the man on the Plenty Of Fish dating app.
There are no further details.
