FLORIDA- A man is now dead, after escaping police custody and drowning in a bay while handcuffed.
The Tampa Bay reports that police were responding to a call about domestic violence on Sept. 9, when it resulted in the arrest Donnie Brownlow Jr.,33, who was charged with domestic battery, violation of probation and felony driving with a suspended license.
Once Brownlow was at the police dept., awaiting a van to take him to jail, he broke free, heading towards a bay surrounding the precinct. Brownlow drowned, while still handcuffed.
CPR was performed on him, but he was pronounced dead at a near-by Hospital.
Authorities are for autopsy results, to see if Brownlow was under the influence.
