Man Killed On Bronx Train, Police Seach For 3 Suspects

THE BRONX – A man was killed on a Bronx train Friday and police are now searching for three suspects.

Police say the deadly incident, which occurred on a southbound D train began with an argument as it approached the 182nd Street Station around 5 a.m. The argument turned physical and then deadly.

Three men allegedly joined in on a fight against 45-year-old William Alvarez on the train.

Alvarez was reportedly either shot or stabbed by one of the three suspects.

First responders attempted life-saving procedures on the victim for 10 minutes before he was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead.

There is no known motive at this time.
