TENNESSEE- A man held several Little Caesars employees at gunpoint after being told he would have to wait 10 minutes for his pizza on Nov. 5.
Charles Doty, 63, walked into the store and asked for a pizza, police say, reports WATE.
When Doty was told that he had to wait 10 minutes for the pizza pie which should be “ready to go”, he then asked for free breadsticks for the wait time. Once denied, he stormed out of the store.
Police say Doty returned to the store with an AK-47, holding employees, and another customer at gunpoint, while demanding a pizza.
A woman who was there picking up her pepperoni pizza, gave Doty the pie and he left the store.
No one was physically harmed.
Doty allegedly stopped an employee who had just finished his shift, and forced him to go into the store, police say.
Doty was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, and a criminal charge of “especially aggravated kidnapping.”
He’s facing up to 60 years in prison.
