ATLANTA- A man was sentenced to life in prison in the death of rapper Chucky Trill.
Chucky Drill, whose real name is Corey Detiege was shot on March 5, 2022, as he was in a rented SUV with four other friends when someone fired multiple shots in the vehicle.
James Edwards Thomas was convicted by a grand jury of malice murder, aggravated assault and using a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and plus 105 years to run consecutively.
Thomas allegedly killed Drill over a drug-deal gone wrong.
