SOUTH CAROLINA – A man shot and killed his transgender lover after his girlfriend found out about his affair, according to police.
Daqua Lameek Ritter, 26, had a sexual relationship with a transgender woman who went by “Dime Doe”, court documents state.
Prosecutors allege that Ritter, who relied on Delasia Green, 24, for rides, lured “her” to drive in a quiet part of Allendale, South Carolina in August 2019, where he shot “her” three times so their affair could end.
Green was found slumped over the wheel of “her” vehicle that same day.
Ritter became “extremely” upset after Green called him a homophobic slur, according to reports.
His girlfriend had found out about their relationship a month before.
Ritter’s girlfriend went through his phone and found text messages from an unsaved number that discussed “getting a room” and she questioned his sexuality.
Further text messages obtained by the F.B.I. showed that Ritter sought to keep their relationship a secret. He would tell “her” to delete their text messages and is accused of “silencing” “her” after he found out that “she” told one of her friends about their affair.
Ritter was charged with murder as a hate crime and using a firearm.
