Man tried to rape 9-year-old girl by meeting with “father” online

UTAH- A man is facing several charges, after allegedly attempting to rape a 9-year-old girl.

According to KUTV, court docs state that 43-year-old Lowell David Smith was communicating with someone online, who he thought was the father of 9-year-old girl who was going to allow him to rape her.

Well, the girls “father” turned out to be an undercover federal agent. Smith allegedly sent several videos depicting the “rape of young children” to the agent, which he reported.

Smith also spoke about making pornographic videos with underage girls, and told the agent he wanted to impregnate women, so he could have sex with their children.

Smith was arrested at the scene, which he believed was going to be the location where he was going to meet the fictitious 9-year-old and her father.

Smith was charged in the Third District Court last week with attempted rape of a child, two counts of possession of use of a controlled substance priors, and he’s facing additional charges in federal court that include production of child porn, enticement, distribution of child pornography and coercion.
