Man wants charges against rapper Pooh Shiesty dropped; recants statement

MIAMI- A man who claimed rapper Pooh Shiesty shot him last month is now changing his story.

The victim, a security guard at the club, is recanting his police statement, saying he was on painkillers and doesn’t want to press charges against the Memphis rapper.

The victim says he doesn’t remember if Pooh Shiesty shot him .

Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Dennell Williams, Jr, has been in jail since Wednesday.

Police say the 20-year-old rapper allegedly shot the victim in the ankle at the King Of Diamonds strip club around 4 a.m. on May 30.
