WISCONSIN- A man who confessed to punching his son to death over a piece of cheesecake has pleaded guilty to homicide.
Travis Stackhouse, 30, pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree reckless homicide, child abuse and child neglect in the 2019 death of his 5-year-old son, Sir Amer Stackhouse, reports The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Prosecutors say that Stackhouse was upset because his children had been eating his father’s Day cheesecake. He punched his son and smacked his son’s face with the back of his hand.
The boy was pronounced dead the following day. He suffered a ruptured stomach, a torn adrenal gland, bruised kidneys and died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
Stackhouse faces up to 37 years in prison.
