WISCONSIN- A man who killed his 5-year-old son on Father’s Day, over a piece of cake in 2019, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Travis Stackhouse was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with an additional eight years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to three felony charges in connection to his son’s death, FOX 6 reports.
Stackhouse was charged with second-degree reckless homicide, neglecting a child and child abuse/intentionally causing harm,
Police were called to Stackhouse’s residence, finding the boy unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead.
Stackhouse told police that his son had fallen down a flight of steps, but then admitted to investigators that he had punched his son in the stomach and hit him in the face because the boy had eaten a slice of his Father’s Day cheesecake.
