New Orleans- The man who police arrested for knocking out comedian and actor Andy Dick says that he grabbed his crotch and that’s why he punched him.
Court documents state that David Hale, 46, says he went up to Andy at a club in the French Quarter to tell him that he had enjoyed his performance when he says the comedian allegedly grabbed his crotch.
He told cops that he got more upset when Andy allegedly winked at him, and that’s when he sucker-punched him, causing him to go unconscious for about 15 minutes until he was taken to the hospital.
Doctors found bleeding in Andy’s brain.
Hale was arrested at his house, and is facing charges of second-degree battery and simple battery in the attack.
