Max Joseph will be officially departing from MTV’s show ‘Catfish” after 7 seasons on the show. Max released a statement saying that his 7 years on the show was “one of the most meaningful experiences in his life” but expressed how “his life could no longer sustain” straddling his two jobs as TV host and a filmmaker, so he’s decided to focus more on his filmmaking and that it’s time to finally make his exit. Max & New Schulman have been working side by side for 7 seasons, tracking down people who have pretended to be someone else and while destroying some of their lives. Max pulled no punches on the show. The concept of the show came about Schulman was actually “Catfished” himself and mad a documentary about it. He later teamed up MTV for the TV series and the show has gone strong for 7 seasons now. Max’s last appearance on the show will be on August 22. I wish Max the best of luck & more.
