McDonald’s Employee Charged After Leaving 1-Year-Old In Hot Car

MEMPHIS- A McDonald’s employee was arrested after allegedly leaving her toddler in a hot car, police said.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a Memphis McDonald’s on Aug 18. When they arrived, officers were told that the mother, an employee, had left her 1-year-old child in a car, reports Fox13 Memphis.

The child was found in the car with no air conditioner on and the windows were up, police said, according to the news outlet.

The mother was identified as Roshundra Maceo-Columbie.

The child was reportedly found covered in sweat.

Police say the child was left in the hot car for about 20 minutes, after speaking with the store’s manager.

Maceo-Columbie was charged with child neglect.
