Rapper Megan Thee Stallion addressed the 2020 shooting allegedly involving singer/rapper Tory Lanez.
The 27-year-old rapper sat down with host Gail King on “CBS Mornings” and described when Tory Lanez allegedly fired several shots at her feet outside of a Hollywood Hills home.
Megan told King “I didn’t want to move too quick cause I’m like “oh my god.” “If I take the wrong step, I don’t know if he’s gonna shoot something that’s like, super important” which is seen in a clip that was released on Sunday.
When King asked Megan “Were you afraid for your life at the time?”, she replied “I was really scared cause I have never been shot at before.”
Megan suffered shrapnel in her feet. She had initially told police she stepped on glass.
Tory Lanez has been accused of wounding Megan Thee Stallion by firing several shots at the ground in July of 2020. The 29-year-old singer is set to face trail over the incident.
Megan told King that an argument ensued when she was attempting to leave a Hollywood Hills party with Lanez and her friend but others didn’t.
Lanez has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge.
