HOUSTON- Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has taken out a restraining order against her former record label 1501 Certified Entertainment.
A court ruled on Monday that 1501 took unlawful steps to stop her from promoting her music, according to Billboard.
The order states that Megan successfully provided evidence that the label, alongside publishers 300 Entertainment, had “recently engaged and will continue to engage in threatening and retaliatory behavior that will irreparably harm” the Houston rapper’s career, Billboard reports.
As part of the order, both 1501 and 300 Entertainment, as well as anyone “in concert or participation with” the labels are restricted from “preventing or blocking the use of and exploitation” of her music in promotional content for the AMAS.
A hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 22.
The court’s decision comes a week before the American Music Awards, where Megan is nominated for Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist.
