Mel B from the “Spice Girls” , who’s real name is Melanie Brown, had a very uncomfortable interview on “Good Morning Britain”, as one of the host read a statement from her ex-boyfriend Stephen Belafonte.
Host Susanna Reid, without warning doing the interview, stared into the camera and read a statement from Belafonte that said “Mr. Belafonte’s told us that there is new litigation planned. He will be answering the allegations against him in full, which he denies.”
You could hear Mel B saying “Oh, God, I don’t want to hear that”, off camera. She also said that “He shouldn’t have a platform to reply.” Piers Morgan told Mel B that “Unfortunately, we have to do that, whether we wanted to or not and I didn’t want to, so I’m with you on this.”
Mel B has accused Belafonte of abusing her physically for years in their relationship but Belafonte has denied it. Mel B filed for divorce from Belafonte in March of 2017.
Belafonte’s statement is read around the 8:50 mark.
