MEMPHIS (WMC)- A Memphis city councilman is planning on naming a street after rapper Young Dolph, who was killed on Nov. 17.
Councilman J.B. Smiley will be honoring the rapper during a public ceremony.
The ceremony will be held on Dec. 15 to unveil the street name at the intersection of Dunn Ave. and Airways Boulevard at 1 p.m. The location is close to Makeda’s Cookie Shop, where the 36-year-old rapper was killed.
Young Dolph was laid to rest in a private funeral service on Tuesday, but his family is planning a public memorial and will release more info in the coming week.
