Men accused of drugging & raping woman found dead face homicide charges

MIAMI- Two men charged with drugging and raping a woman who was found dead in a hotel room during Spring Break are facing homicide charges.

Dorian Taylor, 24, and Evoire Collier, 21, allegedly gave Christine Englehardt a Percocet mixed with Fentanyl on March 18, before raping and stealing her credit cards that they used for their vacation.

Both men were charged with sexual battery, theft, burglary with battery and credit card fraud, but according to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, homicide charges are being investigated against the pair, reports FOX News.

The Medical examiners office revealed on Tuesday that Englehardt died from “prone positioning” which is facedown “while under the influence of fentanyl and ethanol.”

“Although the concentration of fentanyl detected is fatal, a component of positional asphyxia, with her face pressed down into soft bedding as a result of physical restraint and/or chemical impairment to facilitate sexual assault, cannot be excluded,” the medical examiner’s report also read.

A report obtained by People states that both men had two pills on them when they were arrested.

Englehardt, 24, had traveled down to Miami City for Spring Break, as well as both men, who are from North Carolina.

Video footage shows both men walking into the hotel with Englehardt, who appeared to be impaired. The men were then seen leaving the hotel.
