MIAMI – A woman accused of setting her Tinder date on fire is now facing an attempted murder charge, police said.
Destiny Lenai Johnson, 25, was arrested in November and charged with attempted murder, first-degree arson and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, according to the PEOPLE.
Johnson was arrested on Nov. 25 after said she allegedly became upset with her Tinder date and set him on fire and his car outside of a Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel in Florida, according to The Miami-Herald.
Johnson and the alleged victim arranged to meet at the hotel when she allegedly approached his car with what appeared to be a one-gallon jug of gasoline. She plead not guilty and was ordered by a judge to not contact the victim who survived. Johnson is currently being held at Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She was treated for burns after her arrest.
