Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher Say Support Letters For Danny Masterson Were “Intended For The Judge”

LOS ANGELES- Actors Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher are catching heat for sending support letters on behalf of “That 70’s Show” actor Danny Masterson, who was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women.

Kunis and Kutcher released a video on Instagram Saturday.

“We support victims, we have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future,” Kunis, 40, said alongside her husband.

Kunis said “the letter were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury’s ruling.”

Maybe that’s the reason they’re apologizing…

They said they wrote the letters after Masterson’s family asked them. The letters were to reflect who Masterson was to them in the past 25 years they’ve known him.

“They were intended for the judge to read,” Kutcher added. “And not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way. We would never want to that. And we’re sorry if that has taken place.”

The support letters stated, “Throughout our time together, Danny has proven to be an amazing friend, confident, and above all, an outstanding older brother figure to me,” Kunis wrote.

Danny was described as a “brother figure” and a “role model”, Kunis said in the letters to the judge.

Several other cast members from “That 70’s Show” also provided support letters for the disgraced actor.

Masterson was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women in his home 20 years ago. He was sentenced to serve 30 years in prison.
