MINNEAPOLIS- The former police officer who was seen on video killing George Floyd has been arrested and charged.
Derek Chauvin was arrested on Friday and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter for the death of George Floyd, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, who announced the news on Friday.
The state’s medical examiner’s office is now saying that Floyd may have died from an underlying issue, and that there were “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”
