TEXAS- A mother accused of killing her beating her 2-year-old daughter to death has pleaded in connection to her death, police said.
Sahara Ervin, 22, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, a human corpse, during a court hearing Wednesday as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Ervin’s daughter, Maliyah Bass, was reported missing by her family after she last seen playing in her apartment complex’s playground on Aug. 22.
On Aug. 23, a jogger discovered the girl’s body in Brays Bayou about 17 miles from her home, reports FOX.
Authorities say they suspected foul play and are treating the case a murder case. Medical examiners ruled the girl’s death a homicide.
Ervin was arrested with her boyfriend.
