DALLAS, Texas: Rebecca Rivera, and her girlfriend Dania Amezquita-Gomez were arrested on fabricating or tampering with physical evidence, but not for beating her son to death. Police say the mother had admitted to them that she had beaten the boy before dumping his body into the ocean because she was stressed out and would strike him with “whatever I could find”. Reports say Rivera told police that two weeks before the child died he had “bumped into a wall” which caused him head injuries and when she had tried putting alcohol on the injuries the alcohol spilled, and the child’s face had “swelled up” causing him to complain of pain for two weeks before she said she woke up in the middle of the night to find him dead. The mothers girlfriend, Dania Amezquita-Gomez admitted to being in the same vehicle with the mother and the boys sibling, but didn’t give any information on the boys dead body being in the same vehicle because she was too drunk too remember. The 4 year old boys body washed up on a Houston beach last year, and after releasing his stretch and nobody claimed him police gave him the name “Little Jacob”.
