TEXAS – A mother of two children was arrested after she left her two children home alone for days while she went on a cruise trip.
Lakesha Woods Williams, 29, was arrested on two charges of child endangerment Thursday after she left her 8-year-old and 6-year-old children alone in her apartment for six days, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office.
Williams allegedly left for a cruise on April 4 and returned April 10.
Police went to her residence after they received a call from someone concerned about the well-being of the children.
When officers arrived at the home, they found both children alone, who told police their mother left for a cruise.
Williams was arrested the days after, and her bond was set at $25,000.
Both children were placed in the custody of a family member.
