EASTON, Maryland- Elizabeth Newnam, 29, has been charged with neglect of a minor, child abuse and driving under the influence after Maryland State police say that a driver found her 18-month-old child Thursday night on the side of a road.
The person who found the child told police that they witnessed Newman standing outside of her car and throwing something into the field. That “something” was her child.
When the motorist turned around to follow Newman, thinking she was in need of help, she took off.
The child was taken to a nearby Hospital.
