LOUISIANA- Police have arrested a mother and her boyfriend after surveillance footage showed her walking with her dead missing 2-year-old son was found dead inside of a trash can.
Police say on Tuesday, the boy’s mother, Maya Jones, 28, claimed her son, Ezekiel Harry, had been abducted in front of her by a man in a gray truck, according to the New York Post.
Authorities reportedly said that Jones’ story was “inaccurate”.
Police say Jones left her home with Ezekiel Harry and her other three children and went down to the Bayou. She then went to near-by homes and stated her son was missing.
The boy’s body was found around 6 p.m. on Tuesday by police in a trash can and determined foul play, FOX News reported.
Police arrested Jones and her boyfriend, Jermaine Robinson, 37.
Both are facing charges of first-degree murder, obstruction of justice and more.
There is no cause of death at this time.
