BOSTON- Police have arrested and charged a man with murder in connection to the death of a mother who was found dead on Thanksgiving.
Leonard D. Robinson, 22, is accused of killing Dejah Jenkins-Minus on Thanksgiving Day, reports the Boston Herald.
According to a statement from the district attorney’s office, Robinson allegedly killed Jenkins-Minus “on November 25, 2021, in a home located on Llewelyn Street before fleeing the scene”, the Boston Herald reported.
Police responded to the victim’s residence on Nov. 26, 2021, to conduct a welfare check for Jenkins and her 2-month-old daughter.
Jenkins dead body was found in the home, and her daughter was safely located.
The coroner’s office determined that Jenkins died from multiple sharp force injuries.
Police did find a knife at the scene.
It’s unclear if Jenkins knew Robinson and there is no clear motive.
