GEORGIA- A 9-year-old girl was found dead inside of her home, and authorities are now searching for her killer.
Alazia Johnson was found dead on Thursday, by her mother, after returning home at the Peterson Apartments in Tifton.
The girls mother, Tegina Brown, was at work on Thursday morning, while Alazia was home. During that time, an unknown suspect went inside of the home, stabbing the 9-year-old to death WALB-TV reports.
Brown told the news station “I have to work to support my kids,” adding “I had to go to work that night. And I just came home and found my baby.”
Police aren’t releasing any details on a motive, or if they have a suspect in custody.
There is a $3000 award for any information leading to an arrest in Alazia’s murder.
