FLORIDA- A mother and grandmother are facing child abuse charges after allegedly duct-taping children to a chair after one of them took a moon pie, police said.
Police were alerted by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) that Ymani Bain, 30, and Frances Chew, 72, about the incident which reportedly took place August 12, reports WKMG-TV.
According to Investigators, the father of the three children said Ymani Bain had bound the children’s hands and the body of one child with duct tape before she put them “in the wall” after they had snuck out and took a “moon pie without permission.”
The grandmother, Bain, allegedly gave Chew the duct tape but both have denied taping the children to a wall or even assisting one another.
Chew was charged with aggravated child abuse without great harm and Bain was later charged with aggravated child abuse.
