NORTH CAROLINA- A mother allegedly made her daughter stand for three days straight as punishment before she died, according to authorities.
Malikah Bennett, 31, has been charged with suspicion of murder and child abuse in the death of her 4-year-old daughter, Majelic Young, who died last year, reports Fox36.
Majelic went missing last summer, before her body was found in May. An arrest warrant states that the little girl had been dead since August of 2020.
Police say that Bennett didn’t allow Majelic to sit, or take breaks for those three days in a laundry room, according to the girls sister, Fox36 reported. Majelic was punished for soiling herself.
The girl collapsed after the third day of torture, and Bennett allegedly performed CPR.
Bennett then wrapped her daughter’s body in plastic bags, and put her in the trunk of her SUV, where her body stood for days before Bennett buried her in their backyard.
