Mother’s boyfriend of 9-year-old girl whose body was found in a duffel bag charged with murder

Emiel Hunt, 38, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his girlfriends daughter, 9-year-old Trinity Loves Jones. According to the L.A. County District’s office, Hunt is accused of killing Jones around March 1st, four days before her body was found by maintenance workers who were trimming trees in an embankment.

Hunt did not enter a plea deal and his bail has been set at $2 million. His arraignment has been postponed until April 16th. He was also charged with child abuse back in 2005. Hunt is facing a maximum of up to 50 years in prison.

Trinity’s mother, Taquesta Graham, who was detained as a person of interest is a registered sex offender for enticing a minor female for prositution in 2009 according to Megan’s Law website.

The coroner’s office has ruled Trinity’s death a homicide, but the details to how she was killed are still not clear.
