FLORIDA- Rapper, music producer Southside was arrested on weapons charges on Sunday, according to authorities.
Southside, whose real name is Joshua Luellen, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm and knowingly driving with a suspended license, according to NBC Miami.
The report states that a police officer pulled the 32-year-old rapper over after he had been spotted in a Mercedes SUV with heavily tinted windows.
Luellen told the officer that he had an Atlanta driver’s license, but a records check showed that his license had been suspended since May of 2019.
The report also states that Luellen had a handgun in between in his sneakers and another one on the floorboard. Both guns were loaded.
Luellen told police that he had a concealed weapons permit card, but a record check showed that information wasn’t true.
Luellen was arrested and booked in jail, but was released on $5,000 bond.
