N.Y.- An N.Y.P.D. detective who worked in the NYPD Special Victims Division, was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a minor.
37-year-old Juan Jimenez was arrested on Friday and suspended for allegedly groping his 12-year-old babysitter and attempting to kiss her.
Jimenez was charged with felony sex abuse, misdemeanor forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
The officer was actually able to be escorted out of a back door at the Brooklyn Criminal Court house. He was released without bail, even though prosecutors were asking the judge that he be held on a $50,000 bond according to The New York Post.
Sources said that Jimenez ironically worked for the Sex Offender Monitoring Unit, which was located at 100 Centre St. in Manhattan.
