N.Y.P.D. sends a letter to Rolling Loud music fest asking that these rappers do not perform

The N.Y.P.D has sent a letter to the Rolling Loud music festival asking that they deny these rappers from performing.

The letter asked that rappers Casanova, Don Q, 22GZ, Pop Smoke and Sheff G don’t perform, because the N.Y.P.D. believes that if they do, there will be a “higher risk” of violence.

Many believe that this letter was sent to the music festival because of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine cooperating with prosecutors, in which he named called out several rappers for allegedly being Nine Trey Blood members, that included rapper Casanova.

I honestly believe that these rapper’s have been who they are wayy before Tekashi decided to cooperate an drop names.. Besides Casanova, the other rappers on this list were never mentioned by Tekashi.

Casanova 2x has spoken out about this letter on his Instagram. He put up a photo of the rolling Loud list of performers with a caption that read “I JUST WANNA LIVE. My last felony conviction was 2007. I lost everything I ever loved and I’m STILL losing. So much so that “they” won’t allow me to perform at Rolling Loud NYC on Sunday. It’s unfair and unfortunate that my past, which I’ve dealt with legally and personally, continues to stigmatize me and my career as a recording artist. I’m at war with my past and the scars that they still leave on me everyday. I will continue to fight against biases and advocate for those facing this same issue. I’ll do what do what I plan to make it up to y’all. In the meantime, you can catch me on my Behind These Scars tour or another Rolling Loud in the future. Drop a 👊🏾 if you’re free from the system and drop a ✊🏾 on behalf of friends and family who aren’t. #BehindTheseScars ALBUM OUT NOW.
