A nail tech from Las Vegas was killed over $35.
Las Vegas police are looking for a woman they say killed 51 year old Nhu “Anne” Ngoc Q. Nguyen, a nail tech, after running her over with a stolen car after the customer refused to pay her $35 bill on Saturday.
Nguyen was hit and then dragged by the unknown woman, before she fled the scene. A police Lieutenant told The Las Vegas Review journal that the customer said she was going to retrieve money from her car, after her credit card was declined. That’s when she attempted to drive off. Nguyen and another employee tried to stop her and that’s when Nguyen was hit and then dragged by the unknown woman, before she fleeing the scene.
The victim later died from blunt-force injuries, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
According to the The Las Vegas Review Journal,the rented car that the suspect allegedly killed the victim with was found abandoned at a nearby apartment complex. Police believe that the person who originally rented the car is not connected to the crime.
Las Vegas police are investigating this crime as a murder and working hard to identify the suspect.
