LOS ANGELES- Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer has a date set for his upcoming trial.
Eric R. Holder Jr. will face a jury on Jan. 5, 2022, in a Los Angeles court, a judge said on Wednesday, reports the Rolling Stone.
Holder is accused of gunning down rapper Nipsey Hussle, as he stood outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.
Prosecutors claim Holder, 31, fired at least 10 rounds into Nipsey from a semiautomatic handgun in one hand and a smaller silver revolver in the other. Others were also wounded in the shooting, reported the Rolling Stone.
Surveillance footage shows Holder shooting Nipsey and then kicking his head, as he laid dying on the ground and then running from the scene.
Holder allegedly walked up to Nipsey 9 minutes before shooting, and became upset when Nipsey allegedly called him a ‘snitch’ and told Holder to walk away from him and his crew.
A grand jury indicted Holder on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder for shooting two other people, Shermi Villanueva and Kerry Lathan, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of assault with a firearm.
If convicted of all charges, he’s facing a possible life sentence.
