NYC- A mural honoring rapper Notorious B.I.G. was vandalized in Brooklyn Friday night.
Police are searching for the suspect responsible for the act that took place on the corner of St. James Place and Fulton Street, where the Brooklyn rapper grew up.
The vandal spray-painted “East Coast” in red across the rapper’s face.
Artist Vincent Ballentine created the piece in 2019, which is on the wall of a Beauty World salon where the rapper grew up.
Notorious B.I.G. died on March 9, 1997, when he was killed in a drive-by in Los Angeles. He was 24.
