Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine may be released very soon.
According to Abc News, the prosecutors in the case, who at first were opposing the decision, have changed their minds, are not fighting against Tekashi being released this month.
Prosecutors wrote a letter to the judge, and it stated “In the event the Court finds ‘extraordinary and compelling reasons’ presented by the defendant’s medical condition … the Government does not oppose the defendant’s motion for compassionate release”
It is now up to judge U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer to sign off, and the Brooklyn rapper will be released.
His original release date was for August of this year.
Tekashi69, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, will be electronically monitored and he will also most likely be on house arrest until his time is served done by August.
