NYC- A bouncer who was punched by a customer outside of a Chelsea bar on Christmas Eve has died, according to police.
Duane Patterson, 61, was bouncing at Billymark’s West Bar on 9th Ave. near 29 St. when an argument between him and a customer ensued inside of the bar around 3 a.m. on Christmas Eve, police said, according to The New York Daily News.
Patterson followed the customer outside and was punched in his face. He fell and hit his head on the ground. He was rushed to Bellevue hospital.
His skull was fractured, and his brain was damaged. Patterson was in a coma for 4 days before he died, donating his organs.
His death has now been ruled a homicide.
Police have made no arrests.
