NYC- A man was arrested Friday for allegedly fatally stabbing a man who confronted him for not having manners, according to the NYPD.
The deadly incident happened on Sept. 20 around 11:30 p.m. at a smoke shop when Joan Nunez, 37, opened the door for Edwin Pedroza, 42.
When Pedroza walked into the shop without saying ‘Thank you’, Nunez confronted him before they got into an argument, police say.
In a video shared by the NYPD, Nunez, dressed in white, can be seen getting into a physical dispute inside the shop. Pedroza pushes Nunez against a wall as he held his hands up.
The pair then left the shop, and the fight escalated. Pedroza allegedly brandished a knife before stabbing Nunez in the neck and stomach before fleeing the scene.
Nunez was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Pedroza was charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
