NYC- A New York police union who asked the public to boycott Snoop Dogg’s Super Bowl halftime was shut down by Instagram.
Yikes.
The Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association union’s post was taken down by Instagram for violating community guidelines against inciting violence on Feb. 11.
The union was boycotting the West coast rapper for a track he released a while back that allegedly encouraged people to kill police.
The union posted the deleted post on their Facebook, writing:
“Encouraging people to shoot police officers apparently earns you a spot as a headliner at the Super Bowl,” adding “If you choose to watch the game at all, we won’t be halftime is a great moment to shut your TV off in honor of those men and women in blue who gave their lives for us.”
Instagram has now told Fox news that the post was taken down in error and has since been restored..
