BRONX, NYC- Two men impersonating as FedEx workers busted inside of a Bronx apartment and shot a man in his chest during a deadly robbery last week, police said.
The incident happened before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday near Willis Ave. and East 135 St. in The Bronx.
Surveillance footage released from police shows one of the unidentified suspects wearing a FedEx shirt while carrying an unmarked box under his arm with the other suspect behind him as he’s seen approaching an apartment door.
The 23-year-old male victim answered the door, as the suspects forced their way inside the apartment. The suspects allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the chest before stealing his cellphone and fleeing in a car.
The victim was rushed to a hospital and has been listed in stable condition.
Police are still searching for the suspects.
