QUEENS, NY- An NYPD officer will be on the other side of the bars, after he was charged with allegedly raping his live-in girlfriend last month, police said on Tuesday.
Officer Gilberto Salazar-Giraldo, 27, was arrested Monday after an Internal Affairs Investigation into the Sept. 7 rape of his 24-year-old girlfriend, reports The New York Post.
Salazar-Giraldo was booked into the 102nd Precinct and charged with rape, police say.
Salazar-Giraldo, has been suspended without pay, police said.
