One Teen Dead After Crashing Stolen Maserati With Two Friends, Police

FLORIDA- A 15-year-old boy was killed early Sunday after he and two of his teen friends stole a Maserati for a high-speed joy ride, police say.

The three teens stole the luxury sports car from a driveway, with the keys in the ignition, according to Pinellas County Police in a press conference.

The silver Maserati was going at a high-speed rate without its headlights before the driver, Mario Bonilla, lost control, jumping a curb and crashed, flipping over the car, reports Fox.

Mario Bonilla, who was in the passenger’s side, died at the scene, while Malachi Daniels, 16, was hospitalized in critical condition and isn’t expected to recover, police said.

The driver, Keondrick Lang, 15, was placed in critical condition and is expected to live.

Malachi Daniels, 16, was also hospitalized and placed in critical condition. Police say he isn’t expected to live.
