Parent’s who didn’t believe in doctor’s charged after their 3-year-old dies from starvation

ALABAMA- Two parents have been charged after their 3-year-old son dies from starvation because they didn’t believe in doctors.

Ashley Catron, along with her husband Frederick Frink have been charged with with aggravated child abuse of two children under the age of 6.

According to WHNT police say they received a call to a home about a child who was “unresponsive.” Paramedics tried to revive the little boy but he was pronounced dead at the Hospital.

The 3-year-old boy weighed only 13 pounds, and his 4-year-old brother weighed 14.

Authorities say that the home smelled of urine and the crib that the victim was in had soiled sheets from feces, urine and blood.

An autopsy showed that the 3-year-old’s cause of death was starvation.

His brother was also starved.

Catron and Frink told authorities that they didn’t believe in doctors and were feeding the boys Pediasure, which is NOT food.

Such a heartbreaking story, especially seeing how the parents are overweight and made sure they definitely had a meal…

If convicted, both parents face from 10 years to life in prison..
