PHILADELPHIA- A man is accused of stabbing six of his family members as they slept Friday morning, police say.
Police arrived at the scene around 4 a.m. and found six victims who were injured with stab wounds. The ages of the victims range from 26 to 46, according to reports.
The mother of the victims suffered the most serious injuries, with stab wounds to her neck and head.
Police say they found blood all over the home along with two knives. One of the knives was broken from the handle due to the force the suspect used in the attacks.
Police found the suspect three blocks away from the scene. He was covered in blood and cuts.
The unidentified suspect was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries and was booked into jail. There are no further details.
